We just finished up a customers 427 for road racing. The final numbers are 604RWHP and 566RWTQ. The engine is a 4.125 MDS block, 4" stroke, Cartek Stage 5 ZO6 heads with the latest revisions (about 20CFM average increase), Kook's 1 7/8", off road pipes, GHL Cat back, Cartek clutch, Steel flywheel, and Stage 5 hydraulic cam.

Congrats Dave, those are absolutely amazing numbers. Especially for a road racing car, which probably wouldn't be tuned for peak power like a mainly drag raced car. I think that car is actually making more power than the factory C5Rs put out with their restrictor plates.

Only thing that's tough about these posts is I've been saving for my new heads and clutch for a couple months and when I pull into Cartek to get 'em done...... I'll be daydreaming about having that 427 dropped in instead.
As always though, I'm never dissapointed when I leave Garwood for the "test ride" home.

That's the highest HP I've seen for an LS-6 head C5 . Not bad for a little 427 , can't wait to see the numbers for the "big" motor your building . Great work guys . And that was with 3.90 gears too , maybe you should dyno it with 3.42's .Let's throw some slicks on it and take it down the 1320 .
