My apologies if this is not an appropriate place for this posting.
I'm not even close to an amateur video editor, but...... I have a video camera on my dash and like to video trips with my local corvette club. I am wanting to edit video from this trips to place on our web site. What I am looking for are some recommended products that are simple enough to use for an old guy that doesn't want to go to night school to figure out how to use the app, but is pretty strong technically on computers and software.
I get large clips that I want to cut clips out of and add to a larger video. I've tried Filmora9, and it is a bit buggy. I hate building something with a lot of time, and then find that a flaw in the software makes me start over. I've also tried Adobe Premirer, and it is a complete waste of time in my opinion. So, anyone have something that works well for them?
I'm also adding a photo or two of my own cars that I think are worth sharing. Enjoy!

Welcome thank you for sharing. If you get a chance, please take a moment and introduce yourself on the "Forum Photog Intro Thread" in the sticky above.
Regarding your question I am definately not a video guy either so I always looking for something rather intuitive enough to use, but powerful enough to really edit if needed. To that point I have been using Cyberlink Power Director for awhile now. Pretty much every year for as long as I can remember it wins best consumer editing software. It may be more than what you are looking for, but I also found it can be quite simple to use as well. Here is a link: https://www.cyberlink.com/products/p...NcQAvD_BwE&r=1
I've been editing some small vodeos for a while but I'm not a pro by any means. I've been using MovAVI for a while now and really like it. It's not the monthly fee like some but a 1 time purchase price. I don't do enough editing to warrant paying every month for something I don't use that often or professionally. MovAVI also has an app for your portable device although it doesn't have quite as many features as the computer program. The thing I like about that computer program also is IF it crashes, you can restart the it and it will ask you if you want to restore your previous editing work or start over. So you get a chance to rescue your work without starting over. It doesn't crash a lot but if it does it remembers your what you were doing for a 1 time rescue. Good luck with your search and hopefully someone else will chime in also.
I am by no means a professional but I have been editing with Davinci Resolve for a year or so now. They have a free version which I use that is more powerful than what any amateur will ever use.
One plus is there is a lot of help out there on YouTube for guidance.
I'm an amateur video editor. I took all my Dads and Grandfather's/Uncle's 16mm, 8mm and super 8 films and converted them to digital format so I've become the family video guy. I've created a number of family videos for special occasions like my Dad's 80th birthday. I combined photos, videos of the home movie's, music and interviews int my projects and my Dad's was over an hour long.
I've always used Corel Video Studio Pro.....whatever version its on now. Its pretty good and has lots of transitions, titles, effects etc and its easy to use.
I've been editing on adobe for like 13yrs and I mean...at this point the Adobe CC setup is what I use...full suite, but I'm paying a negotiated price monthly for it. I think regular is 60.00/mo. I do a LOT of various photo, graphics design, vectors and vid editing for multiple projects/platforms so...its worth it to me. Davinci was designed as a color grading platform initially and has evolved into a pretty competitive editing platform...if I changed, i'm pretty sure I'd give Davinci a whirl. At this stage though...I'm a slave to Adobe.
