Found a red winged blackbird and a Merlin today. Merlin was high up on a high-power-line tower.

We've had a couple of Cooper's Hawks keeping the Collared Dove population down. This one was hunting near one of my bird feeders.

i get very lucky! I started this cause i hate the treadmill and needed the exersize. So i decided to take my camera out and just walk local parks for the exercise and take pics of what i come across. This is all within 10 miles of where i live with little effort with the exception of one park that is about 25 miles away that i went twice. I will be revisiting that park in the next few weeks because supposedly osprey come and live all summer there.

When I lived in NJ we loved going to Merrill Creek Reservoir for the birds. There were nesting Bald Eagles and lots of waterfowl. I didn't really do photography at that time but the eagles inspired me to get a good spotting scope.

My double crested cormorant, buddy that I had pictures of the other day with the fish in its mouth. I’m not sure he’s long for this world! I saw him today and got some pictures of him flying by and when I looked at them on my computer, his throat was ripped out. Looks like he got into a fight.

Maybe not for this thread but a couple of months ago my wife bought a bird feeder with a camera and and a app that sends pics to her phone. She has some great pics of all kinds of critters. Birds, deer, squrriels, and wild turkeys.
The feeder sends a signal to her phone when something is at the feeder.

Got my first wood ducks today. A pair showed up at the pond just at sunset. I had to shoot these at ISO 25,000 and 40,000 through an opened kitchen window.
