This may be the Magazine Cover I am most proud of..
I am know my work is not everyone's cup of tea, however maybe this one will change some minds I was contracted by the company "Modern Woodmen" (They do financial services and insurance since 1883) to photograph a local hero for the cover of their magazine. The Firefighter Stephen Pettit, was one of the hero's who saved some lives during the massive apartment fire they had here in Charlotte this past Summer. They wanted me to go to the firehouse and specifically do the shoot on Stephen (for the cover) along with supporting shots of his crew for the article. They just now sent me this cover layout. I am pretty proud that I get to work with such amazing people. To this cover shot I chose a lighting pattern that is similar to the "Rebrandt style" however needed to flatten out the light abit to get it under the rim of the hat.
It must be very gratifying to see a photo you took on the cover of a magazine.
Thank you, Yes very gratifying! When I was a kid I always wanted to be in a Magazine and I was forutnate to have that done when I was an Athlete. Once I retired from that profession I then always wanted to shoot for a magazine. To date I have had an estimated ~1500 photo published (not including my books) and this was my 66th Magazine Cover in (6) different genres (Dance, Fashion, Fitness, Lifestyle, Motorsports and Equestrian). Every single time I get something published I a still really excited. I am truly blessed.
