Default Help with new issue

So today, I realized any issue I’m having. In the middle of day on very bright days when I’m trying to take photographs of wildlife specifically birds, if they have white feathers, they seem to be being blown out. I thought that by turning up the shutter speed I could reduce that blowout, but that doesn’t seem to be working. I usually run auto white balance and things are fine. What can i look at changing to correct this.

What shooting mode are you in? Also if you could post up an image with the EXIF Data or at least exposure setting that would help pinpoint the issue. Also are you shooting in RAW or JPEG format?

this pic was only cropped to fit the size limits of the site. nothing else was done. see how the "bridge of it's beak" is completely washed out. also i did try the exposure compensation and it darkened the entire pic but the blow out was still visible. Manual shooting mode. here is the EXIF info:

when I shoot manual, if it looks wrong in the monitor I will switch to auto to see what the camera thinks the best settings are. in this case I think tightening up the Fstop a tad

So i turned on the zebra feature so i know when things my whites are blown out, but still need to figure out the proper correction for it. I will try what markm10431 suggested and stop down the aperture.

On that bright of a day your ISO is way high at 6400. i would have shot at 100 or 200 if on a tripod.
With the 200 - 600 lens you can't get a lower F stop at 600 mm focal length so that's ok. Or adjust your F stop higher to help you balance your exposure along with the shutter speed to get the meter to the correct exposure.
