I decided I want to try to be more mindful of my photography. So I ordered a photo binder and photo paper to print and fill throughout the year. I want to try to take and print one picture that I’ve taken each day of the year for 2026. Hopefully this lets me look at the world in a different way. I also think I should possibly try different themes each month even if I don’t get to take a picture of that. example take one month and do all landscapes or as much as possible, maybe one month and do architecture.

thoughts? Maybe some advice?
I love it, that will bring in some new passion and force you to develop some new skill sets as well.
I have been teaching photography workshops/clinics for ~15 years now and I always say there are (3) parts to being a real photographer. #1) Capturing the image #2) Developing/Editing (when needed) and #3) Printing the final product.
All (3) of those critical processes require a different skill set....with Printing now becoming a lost art LMK if you have any questions about printing specifically as I have printed quite literally hundreds of images as big as 16x24" in my home studio. I have mad plenty of mistakes so can share some tips.
Well, this project went to crap very quickly. Yesterday all I did was snow plow had no time to take pictures today. I didn’t leave my house. I don’t know what to take pictures of and this project is gonna be cumbersome so I think I’m gonna just use the book for something else

Oh my.....sorry to hear that. Perhaps you set the bar too high in doing one a day for a year. Slow your roll to once a week maybe and see if that helps. Finding worthwhile "subject matter" will be tough if you don't travel much. Maybe do different "formats" such as a scenery one time, a macro another, people, patterns, etc.
