I audit businesses for the government. I conduct most of these audits on the taxpayer's premises. I have my reasons. :)

My Stingray. I agree with the comments about why buy it if you are afraid to drive it. My debate is whether to get dedicated snow tires or all season tires because snowfall in Cincinnati is pretty infrequent, last winter excepted.

Plus it is one of my great pleasures to drive it.

For whatever reason, I never purchased snow tires for my previous beast, a 2012 CTS V coupe six speed manual. With all the snow last year I failed to make it up the last steep hill before my house two times. I had to walk 50 yards!.

The kicker is I had fairly worn high-performance summer tires on it. They were 20 mm wider at each end than the OEM tires. There were also many days below freezing..

Best regards,

Jim

My 2015 A8 coupe...........took delivery mid October, drove it to Florida for the winter, back home to Ontario Canada late April.....now 7 months old with 10,000 fun miles on it. When I wear it out I'm just gonna buy another..........we aint here for a long time so might as well have a fun time:cheers:

J_Vette_Manuel 05-26-2015 06:53 PM

I went through the same struggle, daily driver it or not....

My reasoning is I'm far too anal about my cars and I put too many miles in a year. I put on in excess of 25k miles per year.

The G35 I can drive, whip around town and do what I have to and not be so worried.

Also, when I visit clients pulling up in a new Corvette can be a bit of a negative.

Corgidog1 05-26-2015 06:59 PM

My dd is a 2014 Subaru Impreza-stick shift makes it sort of fun. AWD for the winter and good gas mileage.

I drive my 2005 Honda Civic for my daily run around errands. :D

Wish I could keep my Lemans Blue... no garage space and would strain the bank account a little too much. I would have gotten another Lemans Blue if they made it for the C7. Will probably be pissed when it comes out next year or whatever :willy:

When I can't take all the attention from the C7 I drive the Focus ST.

Actually I just really like the ST, I know what many of you are thinking but it's really great car and I couldn't part with it when I got the C7. It gets much less drive time these days but she's still a hoot. Has a couple of mods probably running about 290 hp 340 tq. A real sleeper, nobody expects a focus to be able to do what this car does. Top speed in the little minivan is 155:rock:

Also have a ram 1500 4x4, have all bases covered.

Just added '15 silver Camaro ZL1 for daily driver rotation to go along with '13 metalic black(same as CFM on vette) Sonic RS and '12 silver Colorado PU. Depends on the weather or if I want raw power, good gas mileage or load carrying abilities that day. Or, just drive the '14 Laguna Blue Z51(garage queen) for making impression. Slim

I have a 2014 CTS Performance Coupe as my DD and when I travel to see my customers.
I really enjoy that one too!

clyjr 05-27-2015 02:51 PM

Since I have an extremely short drive to work (stingray doesn't even have time to warm up), I have a Volt daily driver. I've used 0.5 gallons of gas in the last 350 miles with it. Anytime I'll be going far enough to use gas I'll drive the stingray...

Bavaria 05-27-2015 03:11 PM

My DD was an '07 Lexus GS350 until I got the C7. Now the Lexus is the weekend warrior.

6spdC6 05-27-2015 03:30 PM

Due to weather my Vette is a 5 month car. Also due to weather my DD at this moment is a 10 Toyota Tundra 4x4 xcab that comes in real handy for year around driving. Can do all the other things a 2 seater cannot do!

My C7 is my "daily" driver. I see no reason to drive anything else. IF we get severe snow, my wife has an Avalanche we'll "share". :D
