Default Daily Driver

Just curious how many of you are using your new cars as daily drivers? I have an 08 Z06 which, until January of this year, was my daily driver. Since then, as my wife states, it has turned into garage furniture. This is my 4th vet and my other 3 spent most of their time in the garage. I am thinking about trading in my Z06 for a 2015 but I am planning to use it daily.

Mine is my DD, as was my C6, unless the weather is bad.

I've owned a lot of cool cars and I drove every one of them as much as I could. Cars as garage art make no sense to me.

Mine is a daily driver. I did not spend this much on a car to have it sit in the garage. Rain or shine the car gets driven.

Like Steve R, I cannot understand the logic behind not driving the car.

Daily driver April-October. (Snow Nov-March)

Corvettes way too much fun to leave in garage.

Sold C6 in April--95000 miles.

All 8 of the Corvettes I've owned have been daily drivers. I drive my C7 to work every day regardless of weather as I did with my others. The C7 actually handles snow/ice better than any of my other Corvettes except my 1970 (with snow tires). Only time I take my wife's Suburban is to haul stuff that won't fit in the back of the Vette (and there is not much that won't).
Of course I do live in the DFW area so I don't see a lot of Winter weather...

I had an 09 Z06 which was my daily driver until I sold it and got my C7 Z51. While my Z06 was a terrific daily driver, the C7 trumps it in almost every way and is an even better daily driver as far as I'm concerned. I tend to rack up 10K miles a year on my cars and I've already got 3800 trouble free comfortable miles on my C7.

If you can sell your Z06 private party like I did, you will get much better money for it than as a trade in. Food for thought for ya!

I went DD, too. Had planned on driving the V6 Camaro, but hand that to the wife to DD. I figured why wait 20yrs to get my dream car and leave it in the garage 80% of the time?

I DD mine and use it to travel for work. Running about 2500 miles per month. When I get to 100K in a few years, I'll buy a new one and enjoy it just as much as I am enjoying this one

Mine, as all my sports cars in the past have been, is my daily driver.

It makes me want to get up and go to work.

Daily driver since I got it in October. Almost 11,500 joyous miles! Cars should be driven. And in the end it is still just a car!

All of my Vettes over the past 17 years have been daily drivers. I cannot imagine not getting to drive my Vette every day. During those 17 years I have driven my Vettes approximately 225,000 miles. Awesome cars. I have had very little problems with them.

As soon as I get the top fixed right on my 88 vert I will be splitting time between that and my 96 F150. They both only get 14 MPG so what's the difference. Plus the vette is great fun to drive.

My wife's C5Z has 93K miles
My '07 C6 had 83K when I sold it last November

3 guesses about my C7 and the first two don't count
