Mine is my DD, as was my C6, unless the weather is bad.
I've owned a lot of cool cars and I drove every one of them as much as I could. Cars as garage art make no sense to me.
I agree cars or bikes as garage candy make no sense to me.

Corvettes way too much fun to leave in garage.
Sold C6 in April--95000 miles.
Mine is sort of my daily driver, I do not drive to work as I work off shore. I fly to and from work. Work 21 and get 21 off.
When I drive a car, if there is no snow, its the 14 Stingray. However I put far more miles a year on my Harley's. I average 24K a year on my bikes. I might hit 10K on my Stingray this year, and that would be because I drove it to MI twice in April and May.
I drove my 05, and my 09 every day (one or the other). mrowc6 drove a truck. I never understood why he wouldn't drive a Vette to and from the park and ride (other than the parking lot was next to the projects).
Now, I'm driving the Stingray every day, and he is now driving the '05 every day. I guess it took him almost ten years to get jealous.
Hello Original Poster, TomsZ06. You say you're curious as to who daily drives their C7s. Okay, count me as another only vehicle, daily Stingray driver. But what are you really asking? Do you want to know about it's ride?
Give us some more clues. Why did you stop driving your Z06 five months ago? Why didn't you drive your past Corvettes?
Over the years I've mentally gathered some of the following reasons why people don't drive their vette daily;
Other vehicles might be more comfortable, some people as they age don't like getting in and out of a low vehicle.
Worried about their vette getting damaged or high mileage, thus hurting resale value.
Wanting to keep it showroom clean and just dreading having to wash it afterwards.
Couldn't handle the attention, i.e. perceived co-worker client jealousy or negativity, general image (usually self-imposed).
Don't have enough self discipline to drive legally enough in the beast to keep your license.
What other reasons am I missing for not daily driving it, besides needing more than two seats?
Granted, this is probably too heavy for you to reveal to us, but if you can't afford or don't have the room to get a another vette just for garage art, maybe you should at least ask yourself and answer to yourself why you're not driving the Corvette daily.
edit; Higgs said one might drive their other vehicles for variety. I get that. But just parking it for months in non-winter time is what you were referring to I think.

Yeah, I just found a fresh nick in my finish today from being a daily road warrior. I had to accept that battle/road scars are going to be inevitable if one daily drives this gorgeous automobile.
Shrugged it off and told myself that the driving pleasure is greater than the minor blemishes that will surely occur.
Why the hell "shrug off" a nick? Fix it! It's easy to fix with a toothpick, touch up paint, a tube of clear and some polish. Like it never happened with a 10 min repair.
Search you tube about 1000 how to's vids there.
Never considered nicking my hobbies/ possessions as a "badge of anything"

Thank you for the stern admonishment. I will not besmirch this car's fine pedigree by driving a sullied C7. I was making more a point concerning attitude towards fear of harming our precious Stingrays.
Sorry for showing anything that might reflect undue respect towards our pride.

Basically I was getting concerned I would begin to lose some of it's resale value by putting on too many miles on it. I also was going to spend some $$$ to begin mods but now have changed my mind and am considering trading up to a 2015 Stingray which would become my daily driver which seems to be the same with most other C7 members.
Just curious how many of you are using your new cars as daily drivers? I have an 08 Z06 which, until January of this year, was my daily driver. Since then, as my wife states, it has turned into garage furniture. This is my 4th vet and my other 3 spent most of their time in the garage. I am thinking about trading in my Z06 for a 2015 but I am planning to use it daily.
My previous Vettes were not daily drivers. Had a need for 3 cars. Now I don't and am downsizing to 2 cars one of which is the Vette. So it will be a DD for the most part.
this car, as have my previous 2 vettes, haunts me.....if I am not in this car I am thining about being in this car. I travel a lot and just knowing this baby is there at the airport is enough to make me smile...it is that good . i am 55 and not many other interests besides tweaking and keeping it dialed in, respectfull to it's heritge.
This is my daily driver. Picked it up at the end of Feb and drove it in all weather but snow. Single digit temps up to 90's. This car has been a great ride and can't imagine keeping it locked up in the garage. I will admit, it is a little stressful sometimes leaving it in parking lots but I will get over that in time.
The other side of the coin---When I get my C7 it will not be a daily driver for the following reasons:
I live in a snow climate and won't drive it with salt on the ground.
I work in a bad urban area and don't want to attract attention
I don't want to worry about parking when I go shopping or do errands in crowded lots-just want to get in and out.
I want the drive in the vette to feel special where I can relax and just enjoy the ride.
But hey I can see why people want to drive the vette whenever possible and not let it rot in the gargage....just doesn't fit the way I am wired.

You should probably keep gathering more for your list should you chose to continue wasting your time. Who cares why someone choses to drive it as a DD, or use it garage art, or just a really fun weekend toy? Is your life that dull where you have actually spent time thinking about this stupid question? We all spent our hard earned money to buy these cars, not out of necessity, but because we appreciate the look, feel, quality, power etc of these vehicle. How one choses to use their vehicle is up to them to decide and for no one else to criticize. My reason for not driving it as a daily isn't on your list so you clearly need to do some more 'mental gathering'. People have families, children, and jobs where it may not be practical to show up in a $70k sports car.
It'll be my daily driver when I get it next month. In the winter with my still first set of summer tires (Z51) probably not so much, but once I get A/S on it probably will be again. I didn't buy this car to have it sit and rot, life's too short to worry about what might happen.
