You should probably keep gathering more for your list should you chose to continue wasting your time. Who cares why someone choses to drive it as a DD, or use it garage art, or just a really fun weekend toy? Is your life that dull where you have actually spent time thinking about this stupid question? We all spent our hard earned money to buy these cars, not out of necessity, but because we appreciate the look, feel, quality, power etc of these vehicle. How one choses to use their vehicle is up to them to decide and for no one else to criticize. My reason for not driving it as a daily isn't on your list so you clearly need to do some more 'mental gathering'. People have families, children, and jobs where it may not be practical to show up in a $70k sports car.
wouldn't this post apply to the whole thread? it's ok to ask who, what, when, and where but PLEASE never ask WHY!!!!
why don't you think about it for a year or two and get back to me with your thoughts.
boy you benzee owners are RUDE!!
Glad we aren't ! 2 Vette DD and a beat up truck for gravel and hauling large items. It seldom snows here, so we just wait it out. (Ken works from the house)
Sometimes worry about parking the C7,but went on club lunch drive to beach and then to Tillamook Cheese Factory Sunday and no problems!! Seems most people respect these beautiful cars!!!
We "do" look for safe and wide parking places!
Hard to not make it a daily driver, even with other vehicles are available...
Especially this time of year, when the temps are almost perfect for taking the roof off
We own two cars, the Stingray (mine) and a 2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan (wife's). When we go someplace as a family, we take the CTS. The authorities frown on having a child in your trunk. When it's just two of us, we take the Stingray.
Add me to the list of people who bought it to enjoy. Resale value be damned.

hey me being rude has nothing to do with having a merc. ive always been rude, even when i had a cavalier.
what if you had a bunch of cars and motorcycles? even if you drove the vette everyday everything else would be "garage art" right?
shouldn't this thread be, "Who only has a corvette?" except for whatever their wife drives?
I mean, if I have motorcycles and mercedes benzezes, I don't want to drive my corvette everyday. right?
variety is a spice of life!
I have two Vettes, and a truck. The truck is used to tow the boat, and weekly run to take trash to dump. The 80 vette is not used much at all. The 14 Vette is what I drive when I drive a car unless there is snow.
My wife has a Range Rover, 3.5 years old with 31K miles on it.
I have 3 harleys and my wife has two harleys. Those get used far more than any other vehicle.
Heck my wifes 1 year old street glide has 27K on it. I average 24K a year on my bikes. I might hit 10K this year on the 14 Vette, drove it to MI twice already this year

*chooses*
Nothing like insulting people here as a brand new member. That's a nice first impression.

Yikes. Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed today or is this your usual MO? Try to save up some energy for ridiculing the trolls and the envious jerks.

I walk to work about 30 feet, so I don't put many miles on the four vehicles I own again after I just sold one of them a couple weeks ago. This year, the C7 will be driven about once a week between the months of May and October. I put 40K miles on my C3 I had for 25 years and expect about the same for the C7, which I bought for fun, spirited driving.
Mine is my daily driver. I enjoy driving this car a lot. I sold my 2013 Porsche when I bought this car. Just drive the car and enjoy it . Why save the car by not driving it so that someone else can put the miles on it ?

New members are not allowed to set someone straight? New member or not I feel that his post was ridiculous and needed to be corrected. I've been here a very short time and have noticed that there seems to be a lot of know-it-alls around here and I don't care for that. If you have an opinion then state it as an opinion, not as a fact. For someone to criticize others for how they *CHOOSE* to use their vehicle, or why they're not using it as a DD, is of no one's concern, period!

Yes, this is my MO, I call people out on BS.
You'll do well here. In fact, you should go to the OT forum and set some of them straight.
Hint: You can correct people without name calling or insulting them. You should try it.

Off topic doesn't interest me so I'll stay here. Didn't think asking 'is your life that dull' would be considered name calling or an insult. In fact, his post was far more insulting filled with insinuations about how people feel and think about using their car as a DD. Is Dr Phil a member here?
Let's get back on topic about the C7 being a DD or not. I'm sure no one cares about forum bickering.

What shore in Jersey are you at?
Toms River area which is near Seaside Heights the home of the wonderful 'Jersey Shore' TV show. Let's meet at Duffers in Wildwood for a huge huge huge bowl of ice cream! Been going there since I was 5, doesn't get better than that!

Sounds like a plan. PM me when you are down there.
I have a shore home in Anglesea behind Rick's Seafood.
Typical day is breakfast at Star Diner, walk the Sea Wall in Anglesea with our dogs.
Read a book and get some sun/fresh air.
Take a nap.
Dinner at Star or North End Grill.
My wife doesn't drink and I don't often drink, but once in a while I'll have a couple with the neighbors.
