72 POA Valve replacement

Has anyone replaced the POA valve & expansion valve with Eckler's parts on a 72 C3? If so how did it work out,, any difficulty or recommendations. Thanks 99 Nassau Blue

I replaced mine during the rebuild. Still at it... ;)

Anyway, I found the stock unit has a different end on it than the new unit. The stock end lays flat against the upper hose tubing. The new piece has a few inches of coiled copper... I have not tested the system as of yet....

I think the NAPA poa valve is an identical replacement

Yes, it is. I got one several years ago and it is identical to the factory part except that it is adjustable (which comes in real handy when converting to R134a). However, I think NAPA has discontinued the POA valve. Atleast it doesn't show up on napas website.

Thanks for the info.. The POA we have is the Ecklers part. It hasn't been installed yet. We also have the new expansion valve. It would be nice to know how it worked when you get it operational. thanks 99 Nassau Blue..
