Man, that looks awesome. After being quoted $4-5,000 and 4-5 months yesterday for a paint job, yours gives me the itch to respray mine. Beautiful job.

I believe gel-coat is the material that is put in the fiberglass forms when the body panels are molded. I do not think anyone "gel-coats" the fiberglass before painting.

Hate to disagree,:smash: but I have been told by more than one person that it is a very good idea to have a vette "gel-coated" when painting to keep the cracks and webbing from reoccuring. And one of those people is someone that paints and restores corvettes here where I live. ;)
