79 radio wiring
Hello,
A prior owner cut the radio harness off that connected to the original factory radio in my 79. I want to install a new stereo but I am unsure which wires I located under the dash were attached to that original harness/radio. Does any one have a picture of a 1979 radio with its wiring or what color wires connect to the radio? Thanks |
my manual, 68-82 shows (for later models BASE):
yellow: hot to radio fuse 10amp(just when key is on) gray: hot at all times with a 7.5 amp fuse left front speaker tan and gray wires right front speaker: light green and dark green system with REAR speakers gray and yellow same as above brown: light switch orange: goes to ctsy/clk on fuse block 20amp front speakers:same as above right rear: dark blue and light blue left rear: yellow and brown manual does not differentiate between positive and negative for speaker connections |

Is there anyway to look up where on the fuse block the gray wire gets pwr from the 7.5 fuse. Mine has a gray wire but no 7.5 anywhere
