C6 to C5 Shift Knob Rotates?
 

Just purchased and installed one of the C6 made to fit C5 shift knobs from one of the vendors here on CF.

I love the knob, looks fantasic and a much improvement for me.

Issue..the knob still turns and I don't want to over tighten it like the instructions say. Also there is still the 1/4 inch gap between the top of the factory boot and the bottom of the knob.

Anyway to fill this gap and keep the knob tight with out replacing the factory shift boot? Maybe a chrome locking nut and if so what size and threads?

Try some wraps of Teflon tape on the shaft.
