C6 to C5 Shift Knob Rotates?

C6 to C5 Shift **** Rotates?
Just purchased and installed one of the C6 made to fit C5 shift ***** from one of the vendors here on CF.
I love the ****, looks fantasic and a much improvement for me.
Issue..the **** still turns and I don't want to over tighten it like the instructions say. Also there is still the 1/4 inch gap between the top of the factory boot and the bottom of the ****.
Anyway to fill this gap and keep the **** tight with out replacing the factory shift boot? Maybe a chrome locking nut and if so what size and threads?
