Finally getting around to Putting this rebuild out to share .
1st a little history of the car . I purchased the car 12 years ago & yes it was in a guys barn . Originally Silver / Claret with red interior but was now painted white . The paint was dull , with a yellowish tint to it & the interior looked like animals had been using it for a bed a few times , LOL . BUT , it ran good with only 84,000 on her . Struck a deal , brought her home & cleaned her up to use as a weekend car . 3 months later , broke a valve spring , which caused more damage & i rebuilt the motor . Now over the next 10 years i drove her here and there and could be classified as a daily driver , just another ordinary C3 . Then my drivers door broke & would not open , lock was broke , window mechanism was bad ...So it was time for a new door ...Well my friends , this is the story of my door replacement . |

WOW! Lots of work being accomplished!
Think about doing this before installing new carpet....it will keep the interior cooler during warmer months....... http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps2debef06.png http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/y...ps941c640b.png The insulation took me a day to form and trim it to fit, but it was well work it! |

I covered my interior with it before I replaced my carpet just as doorgunner did. http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...ps48a26129.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...pse44421d4.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...psa5208669.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1967bd1b.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...psaddc2517.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/...psb1386b81.jpg Donnie |
Awesome! And it started out, so innocently and soon, it became a classic case of "While You're There". And soon, things come ripping out, piled on the floor and the madness begins. The bad part, is that it never, ever, ends!

I looked up that Reflectix....seems awful thin for a heat barrier / shield .....or am I missing something here ?
