Finally getting around to Putting this rebuild out to share .
1st a little history of the car . I purchased the car 12 years ago & yes it was in a guys barn . Originally Silver / Claret with red interior but was now painted white . The paint was dull , with a yellowish tint to it & the interior looked like animals had been using it for a bed a few times , LOL . BUT , it ran good with only 84,000 on her . Struck a deal , brought her home & cleaned her up to use as a weekend car . 3 months later , broke a valve spring , which caused more damage & i rebuilt the motor . Now over the next 10 years i drove her here and there and could be classified as a daily driver , just another ordinary C3 . Then my drivers door broke & would not open , lock was broke , window mechanism was bad ...So it was time for a new door ...Well my friends , this is the story of my door replacement .
looks nice & a great idea ....what kind of insulation is that ?
This is Reflectix that you can buy at Lowe's or Home Depot by the roll.
I covered my interior with it before I replaced my carpet just as
doorgunner did.
Awesome! And it started out, so innocently and soon, it became a classic case of "While You're There". And soon, things come ripping out, piled on the floor and the madness begins. The bad part, is that it never, ever, ends!
Just came in from playing around with the Reflectix ...need to do some trimming with a razor blade and finish it up tonight after work . Ready to get the carpet in , My seat buckets will be ready on friday .
