Stripes

Hi all,
Just wondering if the racing stripe pacage is vinyl or painted on stripes?
Thanks...

it is a 'transfer', NOT paint
IMHO they are beautiful!

The factory stripe packages are all automotive paint/clear coat on a vinyl substrate.

happy to be wrong!

I was there when they applied the stripe to my '14 Z51 . . . .
. . . if it smells like a pig and looks like a pig . . . .

Great news that it's not! Makes caring for it very simple, it's paint. I always stressed over scratching it and treated it differently from the paint. Thanks:cheers:

Thank you, it's a Motorola and I needed to check to the model, Moto X.
I had CarboTech brake pads put on and blacked out the chrome strip in the front grill yesterday. I am really happy that the shiny chrome brace look is gone. Now I'm going to be rebellious and leave the front license plate off. :lurk:

I love the stripes but do not like how the carbon flash badges (in particular the Corvette lettering) disappears on the back.

I've seen some cars where the stripes are cut around the lettering, others where they are under. Did GM change something or is this a mix of OEM and after market?

I am a sucker for stripes. My 2009 CSR had them pre-included and my 2016 z06 Laguna Blue has them too :).

They appear to be vinyl... Carbon flash, factory optioned.

Does anyone own a SG/ red int. with stripes? I want to know what I missed. I did get the CF stinger.

Holy C7 06-27-2015 11:16 AM

Love the stripes, so much so, that I ordered them on my AW C7

My stringer is horrible quality, has orange peel and does not match the rest of the painted-on carbon flash. I am probably getting it removed and painted on by a body shop.
