Airbag sensor question
Ok, let me set the stage again. 1998.
During service, with the steering linkage disconnected, the wheel was turned one revolution one way or the other. Now I get the Active Handling messages. Right now, I can turn full stop right and left without issue. If I disconnect the linkage and turn the wheel the wrong way , I break the airbag spring. The measurements to center the SWPS are max'ed out, whichever way I turn the wheel, the adjustments start to come into line. Which direction is the clockspring wound for the airbag sensor? If it was turned 1 revolution to the unwind position, and I turn it another turn in the unwind position, will it still break? Last resort, I have a used centered SWPS I can have installed.
