Twin Turbo FRC Testing for Pump Gas Invitational

I received an invite to test at the runway in Caddo Mills yesterday. I left the house at 7:00am and arrived around 11:30am. It was a great day to be driving a Corvette. This was a 600 mile round trip and the car didn't miss a beat.

The event will be in May and is made up of 2 classes - Pump Gas and E-85. Here's one of the 1st videos from yesterday. This was a 60 to 161mph pull against a ZR1 with nitrous.

Close race, looks like you got him. He'll need to turn up the next time he sees you. :yesnod:

Thanks, Chris. I'll turn it up a little more too. I was on the rev limiter at 6800 in 4th. Going to bump it to 7500 rpm and also get a little more aggressive with the boost curve in 3rd and 4th.

Yeah even with a cracked manifold! Well maybe??

Hopefully pull it off this week and see what's going on with it Jeff.

Here are a couple of races against a Dallas Performance Stage 3 Lambo. Not bad on the "900 HP" setting.

Anyone else planning to run in the 93 Octane Class at the Pump Gas Invitational?

Get ready to row gears head-to-head with your pump gas car at our latest airfield side-by-side roll racing event, the Pump Gas Invitational (“PGI”). At the PGI what will land you in the winners circle is getting to the finish line first beating the driver next to you in one of our two classes: 93 octane or E85. No brackets, MPH limits, clock racing, participation trophies, or BS. If your vehicle has 4-wheels you can register and everyone is welcome to join in.

Thanks for the call. We've had some great times through the years.

Nice media photo by Malcolm Perez out on the runway. He has a great eye for motorsports. The C7 has a single PT88 under the hood.
