What the H#$$ are those dots on the windshield & back window?
Tried to attach a dash cam on the front windshield just right of the rear view mirror & high. It was a decent single suction cup, but it became obvious that those dumb dots are preventing a seal from forming.
So what the heck are they? I had some smaller ones on back of the c5z window & never seemed to cause a problem when I stuck a camera back there. :ack::ack: |
In the tradition of answering my own questions, I called the tech support for the dash cam I am trying to get to stick, he said the dots are for HEAT DISSIPATION.
That so? Had not known of that. ;) |

Many people put black vinyl over the dot areas and then tint the remainder.
