68-73 Manual
I'm looking for a chrome bumper (including 73) Corvette 4 speed manual as a project car. Color really doesn't matter, same with body style (coupe/convertible), both small blocks and big blocks are welcome, and any engine condition is alright (doesn't have to be #'s matching). Besides the transmission, the only other big criteria is that the frame and birdcage be in good condition and free of any excessive rust, and that there isn't any huge damage to the body. Oh also -- I'm located in Saint Louis Missouri, but I am willing to travel to check out the right car. Feel free to leave a message here or PM me, and any leads for cars you've seen for sale would be greatly appreciated as well!! |

22 years ago I put an ad in the newspaper for a 68-73 4 speed running or not. That is what got me my '70, good luck.

Why do you want a project? I only ask because the price of these projects versus what I would take for my car which is a completed project is $140 month difference.
If I had bought a completed project I'd be about $50000 richer right now. |

How much of a "project" are you looking for? If you want one needing very very little work, just small things to tinker with, here is my 1971 Mulsanne blue convertible 4-speed car.....numbers matching, trim tag matching, solid birdcage, extremely clean and nice interior, solid chassis, beautiful white top, new exhaust, drives wonderfully, terrific paint, blue vinyl interior, no AC. Stock base engine upgraded with a better cam, MSD ignition, and headers. No evidence of prior accident damage, extremely straight and clean car. Beautiful chrome and trim. All it needs is some attention to the wiper door and wiper motor to get them functioning properly again, a new horn relay (I'm doing that this weekend) and to fiddle with aftermarket radio speaker wiring to get it working (last thing I was going to do anyway, who needs a radio in a convertible Vette?!). I bought this for my wife, she never drove it (a 3 pedal car suddenly doesn't appeal to her, argggg!) she eventually bought a C1 restomod with an auto trans, so this one is just resting in the garage keeping the other cars company. I recently put the redline tires on it. Realistically, a weekend of fun time in the garage and hardly any out of pocket cost is all it needs. Asking $32,000.
