Bird trapped under hood
no, not really. Need some help tho...a while back I was getting some high chirps from under the hood only when accelerating. I noticed I had a wobbly balancer so I replaced it and the belts. Car was fine for a few hundred miles. Now the chirping/squeaking when I accelerate is back. Tensioner? Pulleys? I can't seem to pinpoint where this is coming from. I researched a bit throughout the forum but haven't seen anything. Any suggestions on a good starting point? Thanks!

Watch the video...and buy one of these alignment tools and stick with OEM parts !!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyGOlBJQjeE I did buy an AC Delco balancer. A lot of people push for aftermarket brands, but I tend to stick with the factory replacement parts. |

You WILL be doing the HB again, this is why people use the better aftermarket ones....

Good deal !!...let us know what you find...you can get the kit off Amazon for around $85.00 !! I did happen to notice that the crickets quiet down a bit when the AC is on. Would that indicate the tensioner near the compressor? I'll have to get a stethoscope and poke around I guess. BUT FIRST, I'll be replacing a freaking rear sway bar that randomly "popped" on the exit ramp. SMHhttps://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...dec9b65882.jpg Smoken1 , I'll be going with an aftermarket replacement, lol |
Mine was the AC idler pulley...

I have a stock rear sway that you can have if you will pay for shipping. It is in really good condition. I removed it to upgrade to the C6 bars. Let me know if you want it.
