94 Oil Temperature Sensor
 

I have a 94 Corvette with the LT1 and I need a oil temperature sensor. I am coming to the realization that this part is hard to find. Now I found a listing on eBay that has one for sale however they say it fits the LT5 not the LT1. Does the Lt1 and LT5 use the same sensor are they comparable. The picture of the sensor looks identical to the one that came off my motor.

GM # 10096136 or equivalent from a local source would be correct for your LT1 - it does appear to fit some LT5 and also L98.

so it should be safe to say that a sensor for a 94 LT5 should fit my 94 LT1

NO - I don't believe a '94 LT5 is the same as the '94 LT1. The electrical connection is the same but that's it I believe. Take the 10096136 to a 'local' AP Store. Most I'd think can help you. NOT IN STOCK but 1 or 2 day. NAPA or AutoZone maybe.

Does anyone know where I can get this sensor, everywhere I look it's discontinued

Could I run a 1/4" to 3/8" union adapter to adapt the LT5 sensor to the LT1 block seeing as the electrical connection is the same
