2019 ZR1 Carbon Fiber halo installation
Alright everyone, I posted a video to show the installation of the carbon fiber halo on the 2019 ZR1.

Which vendor did you get this from? Is it the lighting or does the carbon fiber halo piece (color) not exactly match up with the top?

The ZR1 targa has an orangeish tint to it in the carbon fiber twill. Same with the supercharger air cover under hood.

The reason the GM exterior CF panels don't match the aftermarket ones is that GM is using an anti-HEV tint to protect the resin against the inevitable damage cause by light exposure.That the aftermarket pieces do not share this tint means that they are not protecting against HEV, and their resins will fail sooner than if they had protection. In the mean time they will not cosmetically match the OEM CF. Personally I suspect that re-clearing them with the right tinted clear would not be a very difficult process for an aftermarket manufacturer to figure out. I know I could, if I had the time and facilities.

Well done...the Carbon Fiber halo fits in perfectly with the rest of the ZR1.

Thanks for posting the installation video. I bought one of these in 2015 for my Z06 but never got around to installing it. I will definitely install it on my ZR one when it arrives. Great job. Looks great Doc |

Is that vinyl on the fuel filler door? Do you have a source for the ZR1 sticker on the fuel filler door? The rest of the black out to the roof line at the top and rear hatch opening is that also vinyl? |
