Pegged heat gauge
Hey guys, I just recently purchased an '04 c5z and love it. Today I left my lights on and killed the battery so naturally I got a jump start. When I turned the car on it gave me a service column lock code that never came up before, I cleared the code and it fixed the column issue but when I went to drive it to recharge the battery I noticed the heat gauge go straight to max, any ideas what it may be?

I'd take my battery cables off... charge the battery then reconnect and see if things clear up... if not you can get a code...

Another example why these cars should not be jump started. Best thing to do is charge battery then start car. Do the above.

That fixed the issue, thankyou!

That being said, your column lock may not be "fixed". Check to see if a LMC5 has been installed. If not, get one and install it, then it will be fixed. |
