Any 1/4 mile times ?

BubbaKahuna 04-12-2019 04:55 PM

Nice! What are the street manners like on this car?

RocketSled 04-13-2019 10:49 AM

1/4 mile times need to be prefaced with the Altitude. Street tires, at Bandimere, it turns sub 2 second 60 foot times, and has turned high 13's. It's a snapshot of it's time, not as fast as a lot of stuff out there, but it was built for torque and is a really fun car to mess around in.

Expect mid to high 12's at Sealevel, traction limited. :D

Street Manners are really good. The 9/11 torque converter was the trick at the time to raise the stall to 3200 rpm, but not feel sloppy on the street. Additional cooling was added to combat the elevated fluid temps you'd see in stop and go traffic. It's not idiot-proof (watch the tranny temps), but aside from that, it'll cool and run and start and race dependably.

The Initial Post was missing some detail (car was on the lift, in the dark) He're some more interior shots and startup. It always start on the second turn of the key.

Hi! Was wondering if you would be interested in a part trade? I have a 93 six speed roadster with Dana 44 and 345 gears. Car looks and runs good. Lot of miles. 156k. Also have a 85 coupe looks and runs good with 94k. It's the 4-3 transmission with Dana 44 with 307 gears. Would be throwing some cash your way as well??? Let me know if you might be interested. I can send pics if you want. Thanks.
Gary
