Plus 1 Wheels and Tires

I have Z06 repros on my AE, 265/17 and 295/18.

Tires are IMPOSSIBLE to find for the 17/18 setup. Thinking about going to a, 18/19 set, correct offset of course.

QUESTION: What wheels and tires have you gone with if you went the Plus 1 method.

Thanks ahead.

I have the same wheels as you and was wondering the same thing for a while. They don’t make these C6Z deep dish wheels anymore, in any sizes, or I’d go with them again but the 18/19 setup. I still like the deep dish look and will be looking for that again when I replace them someday. Good luck with your search on something you like.

Do a little reading here, for ideas that work. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...your-info.html

I actually read each post in this thread prior to posting my thread. Though informative and some great pictures, it did not really help my search.

I am thinking 265/40/18 on the front and 305/30/19 on the rear. Appears that both sizes have a 26.3 diamter. Seems like TOYO may be an option with their Proxies 1 but I still don't have a clue as to wheels. I want to stay close honoring the OE look but with a bit of modern flair. That too was my intention getting the deep-dish Z06 clones years ago.

If anyone has done this lately, please hit me up.

You would be better off going with a 265/35R18 or 275/35R18 on the front with the 305/30R19. The 40 series is a little too tall.

Both the 265/40/18 and the 305/30/19 have a 26.3" diameter as per the Tirerack website for the TOYO Proxies 1

That is true but from the factory your front tire diameter is smaller than the rear and some have said having the same diameter can apparantly affect your stability control.

Also, having the same diameter tire with a smaller front wheel means that the sidewall of the front tire is going to be an inch larger than the rear tire sidewall which will look odd.

With 18/19 inch wheels there are a lot of tire options so why select the wrong one for the front wheels?

Stock diameters for Z06 sizes in 17/18 are 25.3F and 26.1R.

With 18/19 in 275/35R18 and 305/30R19 you will have 25.6F and 26.2R. Or 265/35R18 will have 25.3 diameter.

You have gazillions of choices... If you think the stock sizes are bad to find tires for, move up... It gets worse.

I guess it depends on which stock size you're talking about. I bought a set of C6 wheels and there are considerably more tires to choose from in the 18/19 inch sizes as compared to the 17/18 inchers...
