Intermediate pump harness install?

Has anyone installed the Racetronix intermediate pump harness (IPH-008) with out dropping the tank? Can it be done and how hard is it to get too.
I have read a few links that make it sound like you can unplug the harness from the pump, going thru the driver side wheel well.
I ordered the Racetronix harness and intermediate cables to put on my 2012 Grand Sport M6.
I might add a BAP later. But for now I just want to get the full voltage to the pump.

thanks

Most people are totally fine with just replacing the main harness and leaving the intermediate one. By the time you need more than that there is typically a secondary fuel pump or something along those lines involved that make the intermediate harness less important anyways.

Well, I thought someone here might have some experience with disconnecting the harness from the fuel pump and could answer this.

Ive done it but not in the usual way. There’s a few small holes on the sheet metal next to the tank. There’s one where you can see the top of the tank. I used that small hole as a guide hole and used a hole saw. Made a 2 inch hole and was able to use needle nose to install the harness.

I will take a look when I install the main harness, If I can't get to it, I will hold on to the pump cable incase I need to drop the tank in the future.

thanks for the info.

Did anyone ever get the wiring/routing instructions? I sure could use it. I have a 2002 C5, with a LPE fuel pump and Racetronix wiring harness for it. Thanks.

There isn’t any. You have to drop the tanks unless you drill the hole like I stated above. The hole only works if your just doing the harness. If you are upgrading the pump. The tank has to come out.

You do not need to drop the tank to change out on a 2002.

Yeah I know, thanks for trying to help. I've already changed out the pump, I just need to know where to make all the connections and routing for the racetronix harness. I didn't realize this was a c6 posting. I've been doing a lot of research on this and this topic was one that came up.

Did you take any pics of where you cut the hole?
thanks
