Engine Dyno Software
What is the best Engine dyno software? Dyno2000 seems to be the most popular, but it is around $99 the last time I checked. I think Mr. Gasket makes a cheaper version, don't remember what it was called. Does anyone make the software? If so, how much and how is it?

xrated....
Since you offered, lets see if your dyno program comes up with what AR advertised for my engine combo I have going in. I'll probably miss something, but here's the basic info: 355 cu in Dart Iron Eagle 200cc 2.02/1.60 heads(ported/polished) Crane 1.6:1 rockers Comp Cam 520/522 lift 225/228 duro @ .050 Keith Black 9.8:1 pistons Weiand Single plane intake(ported/polished) BIGS 750 vacuum secondary carb(equiv. Holley 4150) 2 1/2" exhaust(factory side pipes) |
Re: Engine Dyno Software (bgrice)
is that a custom cam? I cant find a Comp Cams that is that profile. Please give me the part number or at least give me these details:
lifter type, is the 520/552 lift gross at valve using 1.6 rockers? |

Re: Engine Dyno Software (xrated)
That is a nice looking interface. Is there a way for the results to start at 2000 as opposed to 3,000 RPM? Can you input custom information, like head flow numbers and cam specs for parts not in their database? It is considerably cheaper then dyno2000 also!

Re: Engine Dyno Software (xrated)
xrated,
Here's the info on the cam... 110 center line 488 - 490 lift corrected 1.6 ratio = 520/522 lift. 226/228 dur @ 050 I gave you the corrected lift. The information I recieved on the engine was: 427 hp @ 5850 RPM 391 ft. lbs torque 5200 RPM The numbers you came up with so far are: 412 hp @ 6250 RPM 362 ft. lbs torque 5250 RPM Granted I am limiting HP with the 2 1/2" sidepipes. Thanks for working up the numbers. Well appreciated. |
