What is the best Engine dyno software? Dyno2000 seems to be the most popular, but it is around $99 the last time I checked. I think Mr. Gasket makes a cheaper version, don't remember what it was called. Does anyone make the software? If so, how much and how is it?
I have desktop dyno and a program thats called engine analzyer (sp)2.5 very indepth program, you have to know alot of info on runner sizes ,header length,etc..i think they have a newer version called 3.0 but it wasnt cheap.Since i switched to windows xp it hasnt worked but i put my other computer together with windows 98 so ill have it working again.I think the program was somewhere around 200.00 if i remember right.
Since you offered, lets see if your dyno program comes up with what AR advertised for my engine combo I have going in. I'll probably miss something, but here's the basic info:
355 cu in
Dart Iron Eagle 200cc 2.02/1.60 heads(ported/polished)
Crane 1.6:1 rockers
Comp Cam 520/522 lift 225/228 duro @ .050
Keith Black 9.8:1 pistons
Weiand Single plane intake(ported/polished)
BIGS 750 vacuum secondary carb(equiv. Holley 4150)
2 1/2" exhaust(factory side pipes)
is that a custom cam? I cant find a Comp Cams that is that profile. Please give me the part number or at least give me these details:
lifter type, is the 520/552 lift gross at valve using 1.6 rockers?
That is a nice looking interface. Is there a way for the results to start at 2000 as opposed to 3,000 RPM? Can you input custom information, like head flow numbers and cam specs for parts not in their database? It is considerably cheaper then dyno2000 also!
