Just a simple question, I have just put a 12 dick cd player in the rear of 2003 vette, When cartridge is inserted its shuffles the cd's, but when I push the cd\aux button it displays disk 1 and track 0 then goes into error message. Is there a set up from the radio that has to be done? any answers

Thank you all for the input. I have the cd's in the right way, but I will unplug and see if this may work. The cd's are not copys but the real deal, unless they were purchased from china and shipped here.
Thanks for input.
Mine seems to crap out every few weeks. A couple of times I had to fish out a CD that was stuck inside the player. Sometimes just pulling the CDs out and putting them back in helps. Of course at first I had the CDs in upside down. Mine hates burned CDs. I have several different brands and nothing seems to work.
Unplug the changer and plug it back in, it resets the connection between the radio and the changer. Worked for me all the time when I had a changer.
Same trick when my XM Commander gets an err message when I switch to aux input. I unplug the input to the GM-10-Aux, replug it in, and it refinds the XM commander.
Take a look at the post on unlocking a radio in theft mode. I know, yours is not in theft mode, niether was mine, but after changing the battery it wouldn't let the XM radio I have plugged into the 12 CD changer input through.
Same symptoms (when I press Aux it powers up the XM and goes to Track 1 1 but no sound).
In trying the instructions for getting the radio out of lock mode the first step was to press preset buttons 2 + 3 (if i remember correctly), so I did that and poof, all was well (didnt have to follow through with the rest of the instructions, XM just started working).
Worth a try, good luck.

I had the same problem where the CD wasn't being ejected properly. Then the CD gets stuck and you have to reach inside the player and pull it out.
