Geesh that is only about an hour away from me! Wonder if it happened at back to the 50's?
Back of the 50's was the previous weekend. I wonder if he had the car there? Maybe someone followed him to his storage facility...spent the week scoping out the place....then...
I take my 55 chevy there every year and always here people say at least 2 to 5 cars a year end up being stolen because of or linked to back to the 50's. Don't know if it is true but been told that quite often.
"Yes - thankfully the car was recovered by the Elk River police. No arrests, it was found in a field near Elk River, had only been there a matter of hours at most. Some damage, not too severe but it hasn't been run yet. That's really about all I know. I tucked it a long ways away from home for now, not sure what's next for it other than arranging for the insurance adjuster to look at it. Hopefully that won't create another hassle. The police think that it's very likely that all of the attention I drew to it made it undesirable for the thieves. At least they didn't hurt it as much as they could have but it's obviously been through something. The thieves kind of took away the fun of owning it, at least for now. Maybe if it's buried for a year or two I'll feel differently. My wife says "no more Corvettes around here".
