Default Shortie style headers on stock 88

Since they are also more common and install friendlier than long tube headers, what are the brands you header experts can recommend that will fit with no modifications? The ugly rusty looks and heat shield rattly noise on the stock ones are driving my crrrrrrrazzzzy!

Tighten up the heat shields and paint them. Shorties are nothing but a drain on the bank account and maybe good for a little eyewash. For performance, they are a waste. Your car came with shorties.

The heat shields are about as tight as I can get them. Still rattle badly. Painting them could be a good idea. With all the rust they have, they are an eyesore to look at. Unless someone's got some used long tube headers they can sell me, that would be even better. No one responded with interest to my WTB headers thread yet.

Being tight is fine but are they bent in a way that they rattle against something? For example, I removed the fuel filter heat shield on mine and it must have got bumped while it was off. After reinstalling it there was a rattle, I had to reach under and bend it slightly. If you find what is causing the rattle it will probably be very easy to fix. There is a brush on chemical to help the manifolds, I think Ecklers has it.
