Default Tremec TKOs...group purchased welcomed!!

In my quest to put together a TKO kit,and to be able to sale individual parts......I am now a Authorized Tremec Reseller, and will honor group purchases.
I am a reseller thru AMP Performance in Phoenix,AZ.They specialize in Mustang go fast goodies, but are expanding their market, and Tom is their GM guy.He has a C3 as DD,and it has the TKO conversion.Very good people to work with....They carry all the main parts for the conversion, and have a CNC machine to machine the tailhousing to clear the factory crossmember, and to machine for the side-mount shifter,w/the shifter included,so there will be no mods to your baby's tunnel.I am a dealer for Zip,and the rest the parts will be shipped from there.
My kits are priced very nice, but there is a draw back...1.)I have been unable to find a supplier for manual brake pedals for the C3s,so my initial kits will include used pedal assy.s w/new pedal pads, new bushing kit,and a retaining clip.I have access to about 15 of these.I did go to a local machine shop today, and have to pull a set of pedals from one of the cars here to take in,so this WILL happen!2.)You will have to have your own driveshafts cut*around 80-100.00 buckaroos).I am working on this, but my pricing should offset the inconvience some....
here we go.....

I will be adding individual parts as I go,and if I can source cheaper quality parts, then I will go that route, and pass further saving on to ya all.I know all to well about building a dream on a shoe string.....
These trans are new,and are under warranty. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me,pm me,email me,or reply here.
I am at the bottom end of pricing these kits to the others that are available, but any 3 group purchases,I will knock off a additional 100.00.That's the best that I can do.I priced these as low as I can. Also, there is a floor pricing stipulation that I had to agree to to sale these trans, and that means that there is a bottom dollar amount that all resellers have to agree to w/Tremec,and if they go lower...then there contract gets pulled,so....I have to save you money on the parts additional to the actual trans.
Thank you,
Kevin Gilliam

I think I may be interested in near future as well - getting rear diff in order now. Got a quote from Keisler that turned me off to the idea but lets talk and see how (much) you can discount the quote I already have.

Will you please outline what parts that you are substituting (if any) so that I can compare apples to apples?

I am also sending you pm

Not looking right now, but this summer was my goal. I have only talked to Keisler so far. I'll definately keep you in mind. Is this essentially the same kit that they are selling?

They are pretty much the same.Keisler, and Classic Chevy 5-speeds are great companies. My prices are alittle better, cause I don't have the overhead like they do,and my kits have the oppurtunity for a serious performance upgrade to aluminum flywheels to internal slave setups, and clutch kits that will handle up to 1400 horse, and all points in between. The only thing that my kits don't have are the driveshafts, and if you complain.....I will make that happen too.I do have some used ones, and right now......my pedal assy are used w/ all new hardware, but as we speak......my 2 brother-in-laws are machinists, and have their own place in Texas, and they will be making the brake pedals for the manual conversions. Give me a shout when you are ready.....

Quick question. I am contemplating this swap, and have been reading alot about it. Which trans would be best suited for me. I'm a weekend warrior on the street with a zz454 in my '71. GM claims to be making 440hp/500lb/ft and I have a 3.73:1 rear in the car.

Not sure of the trans I need, but am looking to do something in a few months. (after I get my income tax and gov't rebate check!!!)

I would go w/the 600 w/.64 OD,if you are planning to cruise the highway.I have a 68 vert road race car here that I sold/building for a customer here on the forum, and I am going w/the TKo 600RR(.82),and a pretty healthy BB.We want the benefits of the overdrive, but to not fall off so quick in OD.We are also, running a lower rearend gear than your 3.73s,so opted for that.My BB is probably close to 550-575ft/lb on the torque side.
You are borderline w/the torque for the TKO 500,but your 1st gear would be pretty much useless.
Hope that that helps you,and when you are ready....give me a shout.I am just starting on these conversions, but plan on being around for the long haul, and make ALOT of sales available along the way.

Unhappy with a particular problem with a vendor? Then I strongly suggest you take it to PM/e-mail first.
