Mild2Wild Zero drain or regular method?

Sounds like draining the battery would take a couple of things to take place to avoid it I guess you need to hit the "off" button before shutting the car off? Other wise if you leave it in "ON" ( normal closed flap mode) and don't drive for 3-4 weeks then you can potentially drain the battery ?

Are those correct assumptions? IN theory it seems that it could be "Zero Drain" with the traditional install as long as you open the flaps before shutting down.

If you do the zero drain does it remember the last setting, go to wild mode, or mild mode? It almost sounds like people are saying it defaults to wild? I'm going to install my this weekend...

This is what I think

Zero Drain = Wild Mode at Startup
Normal = Last setting remembered at Startup

Normal can drain battery if:

1. you leave it in the "ON" position
2. shutdown for 3-4 weeks at a time in the "ON" position.

I first used the regular hook up and experienced a sluggish battery on future starts. I then used the zero hook up and have not had any battery issues. I use the battery tender during the winter months when the vette is put up, but so far as a weekend driver everything seems to be O.K. Good luck.

Honestly this thread is becoming full of miss information, I have posted the answer and the instruction have 5 pages of facts. If anyone has additional questions please send me an email or PM

This is correct

Zero Drain = Wild Mode at Startup, can be switched to Mild prior to starting the car if needed, if you press the ingition button without stepping on the clutch or brake.

As delivered = Last setting remembered at startup and can be switched prior to starting the car. Minimal drain if left in the "ON" (OEM shut at startup) setting and could impact startup after 3-4weeks or no use or if not on a battery tender. Almost no drain if left in the "OFF" (Loud always open) setting, really no impact for months.

If you are asking me, we have NPP in a box so the install is unique. In the 2yrs we tested mild2wild without the zero drain install we never had a dead battery and we generly only drive 1 or 2 times a week and in the winter 2-3 weeks would go buy.

I dont have heated seats in my car....is there still a empty fuse slot there, so that I can install the zero drain option?

I have the M2W with the regular set-up not the zero drain. I leave it in the open position and have not had any problems. It has been on my Vette for 18 months, but...during Winter storage I also use a Battery Tender.
