You can find a early model C5 for that. It is a faster more refined car than most any C4. If you can find a really good 1996 LT4 it will be a close race. There may be a early 1990's ZR1 out there that is faster than both of those, but I have never seen a good one for $15K.

I was thinking back to when Anethes sold his super-charged ZF-6 C4 last yr. Wasn't very many miles on it either. If speed's the main goal, sometimes buying someone's project can get you some pretty nice bang-for-the-buck.
