Tusentak, Rune!
Got Pfadt sway bars and coilovers, plus the Brembos with CCWs and Michelins. Primarily a show car, but occasional Banzai runs. Haven't melted yet though.

Sove frisk!
Yup, we all are, ultimately! Used to work in a Norwegian retirement home here in NY years ago in acctg. They all used to call me "Yamie" then! In fact, Patti Hansen (Keith Richards' wife) used to volunteer there as a young teen before she became a top model!

Veldy godt!!
I get the same with my family in Norway; don't like the 'J's' over there either.
Hade brå!
Yes sir! Targeted Pricing is $4900 and targeted availability is December!
Any info, picture etc. On the featherlights?
What combo and setup would you recommend for a 2930 lbs Z06 track car ?
I have your sway bars with the orange ends, but it has chewed up the splines on one side

These pics were from right before the GM track day we were invited to for the announcement of these GMPP products.
For a lightweight track car, these are going to be the recommend set up, especially given how well they work together with the 3-piece sway bars. That is the exact set-up GM chose to peruse on the Z06X.
There should not be any problems with the splines on the arms whatsoever. There is typically something wrong with the installation if the arms are coming loose. Please follow up with us if you need to purchase a new arm. We want to make sure your problem is solved.
it bears repeating - there are no plans to produce, sell, license, register, drive or race any of such cars. GM person states so very explicitly in the video:
"we do not have any plans to actually produce these cars... these are more to allow you to let your imagination run [sic] in what you could do..."
(although pfadt posts fails to repeat that very important detail. hmmm)
i also imagine that there was no consideration to the DOT legality or compliance with any racing safety regulations. I would even go so far as to guess there was little to no serious aero or reliability testing. After all, these cars were built to be used in the photoshoots, not on the racetrack (hint:CC brakes)
Pretty pictures and great marketing for the $$ but not an "alternative" to a GT3RS or an ACR - those are factory supported, road legal, warrantied cars. Tested for performance, aero, reliability etc.
I would say most of our corvettes out there runnning on actual racetracks, tuned, fixed up and zip tied to get us to the track, do some hot laps and get us home are more impressive achievements. minus the glamor shots and PR campaigns, of course.

I think you are missing the point. The fact that GM is even coming out with a concept to show people what is possible if you want a focused effort on club racing, is huge. The fact that they are addressing the needs of road racers in GMPP certified parts, is the first step. It is very clear in the media what their intentions are. Not one is hiding anything. Pfadt has a tremendous amount of experience in club racing efforts. So we know good opportunities when we see them. And GM starting to show support for club racers: a fantastic opportunity for people to take advantage of. The idea is for it to lead to bigger and even better things down the road.
GM has supported T1, World Challenge, Corvette Challenge, IMSA, Rolex before. GM has marketed performance parts for at least 3 generations of Corvettes.
I'm hopeful and excited that Pfadt has been give an opportunity to be part of GMPP, but the Z06X at least seems to be a dud. Just a show car, nothing more.......
I think you are missing the point. ...

oh really? well, let me quote your own post (emphasis mine). Do you want to count the lies and half-truths yourself or would you like me to do the honors?
Today GM announced the release of the General Motors Performance Parts Z06X Corvette and SSX Camaro. These uniquely track-equipped versions of the Corvette and Camaro will be built by GM and Pratt & Miller Engineering
GM has pulled out all of the stops, launching enthusiast vehicles that are factory built and ready for the road-course club racer.
Customers will be able to take delivery of their race prepared packages for Corvette or Camaro and immediately have a capable race car, ready for competition at their local road course.

I am sorry you seem to be misunderstanding everything that has been posted. Please do not be upset with us because you are reading into comments.
GM did release/launch the Z06X and SSX at SEMA this year, and they were in fact built by Pratt and Miller and GM. PME is certainly considered a factory for General Motors specially racing vehicles. Nothing hidden there.
Customers can take delivery of race packages, which prepares them for competition. Again, nothing hidden here.
I am not clear on your agenda, and why you are so upset that GM has not taken a clear stance on where the Z06X and SSX will lead to down the line. All I can suggest is to be patient and focus your attention on all of the positive aspects of where GM is heading with its support for club racing.
Take a look at the Video we just posted from SEMA. In it Aaron and Dr. Jamie Meyer discuss the projects and what they mean. Sorry for the poor audio, we did not have a professional mic on hand.

Congrats Arron,
Well deserved
On the flip side to your road racing accomplishments, the drag racing side, I'm not sure if we told you that we also smashed the IRS 60' record with your drag coil over set up, spherical bearings, and sway bar with an incredible 1.20!
You have really had a very well rounded year, thanks.
I think we all need to be easy on Aaron. All we do on this forum is **** and moan about how GM does not recognize or support road racing in the way Porsche does, by not offering track focused cars with a dedicated track program. It seems we are just seeing the early stages of potentially such a program and EVENTUALLY an true ACR/RS factory offered car...and what does the Corvette community do...**** and moan. I get enough of that at home with the spouse, don't want to come to the forum for more :-)
We all have to admit GM has come a LOOONG way with the Corvette program in general in the past 10 years (with cars like the Z06/ZR1 and the factory racing program). They are catching up and creating a market, but it is a big company in financial distress, it will take time and won't happen overnight.
While I agree this is a show car, it is a step in the right direction. I like it, makes me happy that I am lucky to even own a C6Z06.
