Reverse light relay on '12 GS (and solution to noisy brake light relay)
. So removed the brake relay, wrapped it in HushMat (like Dynamat), and it's silent now. But the diagram behiind the kick panel area shows the reverse light relay (along with the crank one) in an area where there's a long black cover with a bolt in the middle. There's no other relay there, so they have to be under there. Didn't want to mess with it without knowing if I'm going to trigger a CEL or something. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to entirely wrap that solenoid like the brake one since the cover wouldn't fit back, but am curious what the hell is under there, and it's purpose, bolt and all. Would like to at least cover the reverse relay on 2 sides, to lower the noise some. The brake relay was the most annoying, and fixed it now. Am mostly curious what's the deal with the reverse relay. Many thanks.
