MIR was great and want to shout out to Gary and RobZ for organizing and to D-rod for the sweet hotel choice.
I was able to get a few decent runs in and run very close to my estimate.(actually a little better)
The track was awesome and I did manage a couple of 60's that I never thought possible in a NA heads/cam car! RPM did the A4 conversion and that thing was flawless! When it hooked up it left like a rocket!
1.22-60' !!!!!!!! another was a 1.23. I made 2 passes that were 9.46s with identical 5.97-1/8 mile times. I hoped to break 140 mph and got close a few times with 139.93 mph. This car drives very nice on the street and is very docile until you get with it.
here are a few pics
All I can say is 1.22.
Awesome job Norm and congrats.
Fun time again even though there were no beer can towers erected.
David found us a great place to stay. Only downside was the girl who took the breakfast order had to run to the kitchen and cook it too before taking the next customer. Maybe you guys fed the other associate too much shine the night before.
you were dang close buddy! maybe Gary can chime in but I think the DA was close to zero around noon. my prediction was 9.48 with a 1.25-60'..... the 60' is what messed up mine coming true..lol
I tried everything from 19psi to 15 psi.. 17 is what was in for the two quick runs.
they are stock heads with the swirl bump ported out and I streamlined the intake guide... Shaved 030 and SS intake and exhaust valves

The DA at noon was around -800. Congrats again on the awesome runs!
What tires and rim you using. Looks like Hoosiers?
17x11 zr1 repos and Hoosier 315s..
I might put a different set of shocks on the car. while it managed a few good hooks I want it to be more repeatable. it is frustrating when I can't hook up. As I told the guys that were at the event, I could've ran 960s all day but what good was that? So I swung for the fence every run and it spun more than hooked. the track was pretty tight so it was more an issue of my car... Maybe I'm asking too much of my stock suspension?

You might wanna consider the double adjustable QA1s I'm running on my car. These four timeslips were from two weeks ago and even though I'm not launching as hard as you, they're still pretty decent 60ft times and very consistent:
