Trying to gather ideas for my project (link here). Took the best shot of my back bumper (unfortunately this is back in September about). Thinking about tail lights. Does this look okay to you guys? All of the back up lenses I have a cracked pretty bad, but I have four brake lenses that look pretty good.
Did the photoshop mock up myself. Added my pinstripe, although not as realistic looking as I'd like. My car has 20% tint on the back window. Only concerns I have would be back up indicators. Maybe put something near the license plate?
Anyways just trying to gain a general consensus on whether or not this looks good and could work. I like it a lot better than the bubble lights!
In general I just changed the back up lights to four brake lights.
Looking forward to some advice and opinions,
Joshua
Looks great, GM should have done it that way, I would add sequence flash,
BUT,
Why do you care at all what others think YOU should do to YOUR car?!?!?!?!
Build YOUR car to make one person happy...YOU!
I added in my project thread about maybe adding a light strip or something by the license plate. Maybe this would be a good idea if I chose to go this route?

Bats,
Sequence flash sounds like a great idea! I would be all for it, but would have to figure out how to wire it in. Shouldn't be too hard as long as I could keep track of the wires. Thanks for the idea!
Finally went back to the Bubbles, yes its old school, but i am old..
And NO... not digital//Led
I've never been a huge fan of the bubble. But I am curious... what do you do to indicate that you are in reverse? Can you get ticketed for not having a reverse indicator? (I'm only 17, so I really don't know )
I`m planning on the same idea on our 71... 4 stop/tail/turn lights. For reverse, I`m borrowing an idea I saw on another member`s car.... LED strips on the license plate bracket.
Very interesting. Our 79 will need paint someday and I will replace the front and rear clip and when I do so would like to have round lit taillights. MY thoughts on the reverser lights would be to have the body shop widen the license plate opening and graft in C4-style reverse lights on the sides of the license plate.
But, hell I like the idea of the LED lights on OLDGTO's car. Very cool and very bright. Although I'd stick with stock looking taillights.
Nice idea...right click...save those photos OLDGTO!! Do you have any work in-progress photos and details on where you purchased your parts?

At present i don't have provisions for a backup light, maybe this spring, i guess one could be ticketed for no lights.
I wanted something different so I went with 4 reverse lenses with red led light bulbs inside.
Look closely at the second pic and you will see the Eagle Eye LED lights used in the plate holder bolt holes. 4 of those and you can read a book 20 feet behind the car on a dark night. Looking for a pic of them lit up.
Eagle eyes can be found on E-Bay.

Chappie
Sorry for the mix-up Chappie....the first photo is my car... I used 4 stock tail lights (instead of 2 tail & 2 reverse).
The second and third photo are of 7t2vette`s car. It was HIS idea on the LED lights that I`m stealing ( uhh... I mean BORROWING, LOL!)
