Go to Summitracing and look at #c2501 dampner for LS motors. Same 8 rib, but you only use front ribs anyway. Been running mine for 6 years and it's been trouble free and is $50+ less. Rod

Stock bottom? How much boost? How fast do you want to spin your alternator? Just things to think about.

That Jegs 8-rib balancer is 8" OD, but it won't clear my newer 2pc bracket unless you have converted the SC bracket over to 8-rib completely. The Jegs balancer will stick out closer to the front of car and make contact with my 2pc bracket near the auto tensioner.

If you have the older 1pc bracket then it will clear.

I usually just have guys run the C2501 which is SFI-spec and stock diameter, and sticks out the same distance as a stock 6-rib balancer. You should still be able to make your 700rwhp goal with that and a 3.4" since you have cam, LTs and meth going on it.

Any BOV could be adapted. I'd need to see a pic of it. You might be better off using their alum flange and have it welded directly to the alum tube that comes in our kit.

My dyno sheet does not show how much boost I am running, and I bought the car with the kit already installed. How much boost do you think I am running? 1999. Stock ls1, auto, 469hp at the wheels. Will the stock ls1 hold 500rwhp?
Thanks

A '99 LS1 kit would usually come with a 3.6" pulley and make about 9-10#s, but you might only have a 3.8" pulley since the power is below 500rwhp. Or maybe it was on a Mustang Dyno so the numbers are about 40rwhp lower than a Dynojet. Stock LS1's on pump gas run 550rwhp on a daily basis. But refer to whomever will do the Tuning to make sure they are comfortable pushing for more power on your setup.

Thanks! Just found the dyno sheet. I have the 3.8 pulley. Numbers were on a dynojet. Speed Inc installed your kit and tuned the car. So do I have to swap pulleys to get to 500rwhp?
Thanks again!

Swap to 3.6" pulley and shorter belt K060905HD and re-tune to make the 500rwhp

Default My goodness Josh

You are absolutely bombarded with questions, left and right, day after day. I guess its the price of being famous... A&A kits Rock

Hey, I'm upgrading my 05 heads Cam intake exhaust 05 LS2 that has an existing ECS Blower SC1500 with BAP making 650 WHP to a new A&A YSI 6 Rib kit. Looking to push more towards 750whp on an otherwise stock bottom end with upgraded trans and diff. Using Coilovers so as to avoid wheel hop as well.

I know its risky, but I've been wanting to build a new motor anyways, so if it goes in a few weeks/months, so be it....

My questions as listed in the Forced Induction section as well are:

Will t)3 installled Kenne Bell BAP suffice at 750whp or is a complete fuel system required

Will the 60lb injectors supplied with the ECS handle the amount of fuel

Being that I do not run meth now, will it be required?

Please and thanks, have a great day!

Keith

Thx man, it's a busy job between phones, emails, texts, PM's, in-house customers, etc but it's a great job talking about boosted corvettes all day.

If you and your Tuner don't mind the risk it can be done.

I'd run our external single or twin pump fuel system and not expect just a BAP to go that far. With our good external fuel system you can probably still make the goal using the 60# injectors, but if the budget allows go ahead and step up to 80#s during the Ysi install.
AlkyControl meth kit will be a must have to keep the stock pistons alive with that much power. You will need to tune it meth dependent to get all the octane you can for pushing it that hard.
Sneak-up on the tune and be careful and it will be a monster at the end.
Feel free to email me for further questions or pricing. Josh@aacorvette.com

Either call me at the shop to order or use prybar to push the slide tensioner over to tighten the belt.

Hey Josh….. Spoke with you last week about the bap issues and ordered a new bap. It came in and we installed it. Its still blowing the fuse. Looks like the fuel ⛽ pump is shorting out. So my question ❔ is what fuel ⛽ pump should I get? Keeping in mind that I am still going with a bap setup. Its a 2004 z06 with forged ls6, v3, 13lbs of boost and 99.99 meth injected. I believe its 650 rwhp.
