Default WTB 70-77 C3, red or black ext, standard trans preferred

Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a '70-'77 C3. My preference is for a standard transmission, red or black exterior.

Budget is $10-17k, So I'm looking for something that runs well with no major rust problems. Minor defects are fine, but I'm not looking for something that will require under the hood work before it can be driven.

Located in Illinois. Would prefer to stay within reasonable driving distance (4 hrs one way) if possible.

Thanks.

EDIT: I have purchased a C3 and am no longer looking for one. Thanks everyone.

Hold firm on a 4sp as to your wishes. I've owned 5 '70'72 C-3's 2 were/are autos, coupes, '70 LS-5 and my current '72 LS-5 always wished they were 4sp cars. $10-17 k might be a tough chore as cosmetics(paint, chrome) can easily go to 10K. MUCH easier to fix any under the hood problems than deal with body and chrome work.

All the Best luck in your search,
Ischia

Know of a local 76 4 spd black/black thats solid and clean Ca car
Put you in touch with him if you want. AC car he has the compressor just not on the car. Not a hooptie, sharp looking hotrod 4 spd works like it should. Motor looks stock and original hes at the lower end of your price range, straight shooter. Shipping is cheap these days.

It's not red or black, but it is a clean, and rare, 75:
