Default Curious to Know if Z06 is also a Stingray

The Z06 doesn't have any Stingray badges on it, but is it still a Stingray?

I have never heard an owner refer to his/her Z06 as a Stingray. Corvette yes, Stingray no.

When State Farm started my insurance, the VIN identified the car as a 2015 Stingray Z06 in their system. I think my window sticker from the dealer also stated Stingray Z06 but I can't seem to locate it right now....

As a side note, why does this site hyperlink specific words to random retailers????

No, The Stingray and Z06 are both model names for the type of corvette. The Grand Sport will be neither of the first two. Yes they all share a lot of stuff but it is not a "Stingray Z06". For example: The 4th gen Camaros where "Z28 SS" cars until the 5th Gen names were separated as the Z28 model or the SS model

Not unless it's a 1963 Z06

My window sticker said the following:

2015 Chevrolet Corvette
Z06 3LZ Stingray Coupe, Z06

Correction: This is what the "dealership window sticker" said. I'll have to check to see what the actual window sticker says.

Interesting. The window sticker on my 2016 reads "2016 Corvette Z06 Coupe". The word Stingray is nowhere on my sticker. I wouldn't care less either way though.

Bottom right corner of this picture of this Chevy ad says..."Z06 is wider than Stingray"

They are not the same. Example I just went to the Chevy dealer to pick up a clear roof panel for my Z06/Z07 which they had for a stingray but not for the Z06 (wider body). Really wanted one of those clear roof panels.

I do believe they share a lot of the same parts, and that top is one of them.

I never claimed they are a definitive source of anything. Just giving information of how it was listed. My dealer window sticker (2015) and purchase paperwork also list it as a Stingray Z06. Not to say that the sales department got it right either.

I have always thought that they are all Corvettes, but some are Stingrays and some are ZO6's...and there will be Grand Sports. My ZO6 doesn't say Stingray anywhere, nor are there any Stingray Emblems that I am aware of.

When the Z06 came out GM was on record saying it was not a Stingray. Base car only.
