Put my Acrylic Top on. Have a few upcoming events with a local Vette club coming up. I like the look of the car with the plastic top on with the Torch Red body.
The exhaust has been driving me nuts. Loud and droning due to rusted out pipe at the bend just before the muffler on both sides. Other needs first such as tires so did a quick fix. A tin can, muffler tape and hose clamps. What a difference! Much better sound and no drone. Pretty shade tree, but what the hell it worked. The drive to and from work is more pleasant. Only problem is that I hear other potential problems.
Not today, was actually last Friday (I'm running a little behind...).
Went on a date to Bandimere Speedway for a club racing series, first race of the year (shared the date with the '57 Bel Air, but the Vette is the one I went home with). This is our 3rd season doing this, best it's run to date at our 5800' altitude was 14.699. On Friday it pulled a best of 14.589 while backing off trying to keep within the 14.61 dial-in (after a previous best pass of 14.62 in time trials). Not sure what was up with it, as I hadn't done anything to it over the winter after running 14.7's and 14.8's the last two years, but it was ready to run.
For comparison, that would be a 13.71 at sea level tracks, all else being equal. Not too shabby for a 135k miles stock 1996 base coupe.

I have the same issue- but it doesn't bug me as much. The wife hates it- especially going up a hill around 1500-1750rpm the drone is terrible! other that I couldn't care less, loud pipes for me forever.
Yesterday I took my C4 coupe to an autocross run by Corvette Club of America. Didn't turn in fastest time, but didn't run slowest time of the day either. Lots of fun with other Corvette owners and pushing a 24 year old LT1 around some orange cones!

Replaced PCV valve and started replacing 20 year old rubber hoses. Idle is much smoother now. Hopefully next weekend I'll replace the fuel filter and more hoses.
Took off the targa top and went for a 20 mile drive I must say its no where near what the structural integrity is with the top on. I really do not care for the movements of the body and chassis without the top. Its a whole different beast so I guess I will leave the targa top on. It appears the top is about another 20-30% added to the structural support of the vehicle.
Had the accessory belt changed........... twice. As part of our state safety inspection, took the Vette to a friend's shop to get inspected, found a frayed belt and had it changed. Passed everything else and breezed through emissions. Went to pick it up and on the turn to my street lost all power steering boost mid turn, almost ran into a van parked on the corner. Limp it home, open the hood and the small bypass hose in front of the alternator cut open by the new belt, mechanic neglected to put the bracket designed to keep the hose away from the belt back on. Sprayed the belt with coolant causing the power steering to slip. Call my buddy, he sends a flatbed, picks it up and we repeated the repair WITH the bracket in place. Runs like a new car, love that old Vette.

I went for a drive yesterday and my 84 developed a code number 45, it ran awful, made it home ok, so today I checked again and it showed codes 42 and 45, took the air cleaner off and noticed the rear injector was not spraying in a fine mist pattern, took it off and it had the small o- ring damaged so it was probably leaking( yesterday it had a strong fuel smell like it was leaking fuel and running rich ) I had worked on the throttle bodies earlier( cleaning and replacing all the gaskets and o- rings ) luckily I kept all the gaskets that came with the car originally and reused them and the injector started spraying fuel in a good pattern again, went on a road test on the interstate and it ran very good, reset the codes and all seem fine now.

Try jacking up one corner with the top on and then again with the top off. It is unbelievable how much difference the top makes. The addition of the convertible X Brace makes a whole lot of difference.
