Default 1965 Convertible

What is the best way to value a 1965 Convertible with 1968 l79 4speed. The car is in good driver condition with a new black top. Low option car. $30000 range?

Pictures will help. I would think mid 40's for a convertible. If it runs and drives and presents it self well

Throw up some detailed pics and we can help you. There are so many variables it's hard to assess without looking at it (preferably in person). At the risk of sounding glib, the best way to assess it is to bring someone who really knows these cars AND the market to help you out. We can give you a ballpark with more info and pics.

We would need pics and other detailed information regarding other aspects of the car. However, 65' is the best year.

I think it'll bring $42k at auction.

30K? and you can drive it away? Sounds like a deal unless its a total turd underneath the bling.

I think you have it priced fair as long as the frame is good? Any pics of underside and windshield pillars? Kickups?

The Craigslist ad shows as being 23 days old. IMO, if the car was decent it would have been sold by now at that $34k price. If it is still available, I would look for reasons why the price is so low.

I was thinking the same thing. It looks decent for the price, I am weary of rust issues and it is a bit of distance from me.

You could ask him for pictures of the car frame at the kick up areas and side rails as well as inside the hinge areas of the door. Under the dash at the upper corners of the windshield as well. This would give you a better idea of any rust problems and if it's worth going to see.
Looks like a decent two owner car for that price.

Now knowing you are not the owner, asking what you should sell it for, that car has been on CL for a long more than 23 days. He may have re upped the add but I am almost sure it may have frame issues.

Some sort of issue at the front of the hood - right corner sticks up, but center is lower than the nose.....

I had him send pics of frame (looks fine) and he said the birdcage is all good.
The price is decent for sure.
If the frame did have issues I would throw an Art Morrison under it.
