Default TWO cool Corvette C7s

Hi guys,

As you may know, our C7 Supercharger cooling package was validated on track by us at LG Motorsports .

Well last weekend, one of our customers had a great weekend blistering the track at Willow Springs raceway with ZERO over heating issues that the C7 Z06 has been plagued with.

The White C7 is also a Calloway that had the same issues as a standard Z07.
NO WORRIES, NO issues anymore.

Fast laps, no interruptions --
-------More Fun than we should be allowed to have!!
Congratulations on a great job at the track and thank you for choosing LG Motorsports.

Lou Gigliotti

And I have to say, the front treatment also looks Awesome !!

Sounds like a killer package. Love that front fascia too.

It looks pretty good. Here's how to make it look better: make the grills black and make the grills like this:
Just a quick edit, but it would look so much better in my opinion.

We have had mixed customer opinions on the shape of the opening.
We decided this way because we needed all the air flow at entry as we could get, just to insure that we got the most out of our coolers,.

it is not cast in stone,......It is cast in carbon Fiber. . So we can change it if we feel the need.

Again, congratulations to our customer. The car looks great,.

Lou Glgliotti.

Where is the air routed after it goes through the coolers? Did you do any CFD analysis to find impact on drag coefficient Cd and internal/under-car/under-hood air flow?

Good work guys ..not that I own a Z06 but if I had to plop down what appears to be a nice some of cash to get the Z06 which is supposed to be a "track ready car", yeah that would suck on a lot of levels...I thought "Tadge and team" went back to the drawing boards on the cooling /heat soak issue..I guess not huh ?
Great looking rides !!

To be honest we piggy backed off of some "Porsche Aero info" that was available for routing the air into the wheel well, Porsche had the most available data since they have done this on their own cars.

Then we validated it on track in real time using tracer liquids to see where the air flow actually went.

Alot of what we do has its roots in all the wind tunnel work we did with the Corvette at GM's wind tunnel. (Back when they liked me).

Air never follows "our rules" it has a mind of its own,

Thanks

Great stuff, Lou.

You guys, as usual, deliver race proven stuff. From the looks of the spy shots of the ZR1 or whatever GM is going to call it, they should be sending you a check, as it appears they'll be copying your approach.

Congrats on the work/package. Top shelf stuff.

Feedback from our first Callaway C7Z with the LG Super Cool Track Package!
I have not gotten a full run down from the owner/driver of the car but I did talk to the tech over the weekend.

"1st session car coolant temp less than 220. Car ran great. Setting fast times, it's cool ambient day but so far so good!!!" That was Saturday morning.

That after noon I got a couple more updates
"No issues at all, Coolant and oil temps low "
"He's still out there lapping the car. He's done more laps today than ever before all track days combined!!!! Super happy!!"

We were not there with the car but the tech replied back "We only ran Saturday but it ran perfect with coolant temps less than 220....Trans temp was fine also. The oil temp didn't get much over coolant temp."

They were at Streets of WillowSprings with the car

I don't know if either of them are on the board or not but I'll reach out to him today and see how the rest of the weekend went but yes it does work on the Callaway setup.

That's suppose to be on the 17's and Tadge admits that even then if you want full tank of gas track ready with no heat sink then go for the M7.

Unless someone knows more than I have read the only thing done to the 17 cars was a different brick in the blower itself, taller lid for the blower, different hood liner to clear the lid and the extra engine radiator for the manual cars.....but auto cars only get the blower parts.

That isn't going to solve it, nor would any of that apply to a Callaway car.
