Just remember few things, you need a GPS antenna, and dealership to mate the radio to the car, other wise nothing will work.
I can tell you there lot of aftermarket better then GM.
You might go this route, I put into aftermarket with Sirius receiver and use my Garmin, which by the way is easy to update with new maps, it came with lifetime updates.
If you go aftermarket, you can't get turn arrows/distance on the HUD like with the factory unit.
Otherwise, some aftermarket units are much nicer than stock.
Me, I like the HUD info enough that I've stayed with the stock unit. Others don't.
