Just stopped by to help with rubbing it in.
In reality however, there is a high price we have to pay for the few pleasant months we get during the winters. And it can be oppressive!

It's awesome to see how many Corvettes are out and about down there, and I can't wait to start spending my winters down there and bringing my Corvette with me (in five years time when we retire I will also have traded my C6 for a C7, making it even more fun for me down there!) I'm still not sure exactly where we're going to be in Florida when we retire, but it will definitely be on the Gulf side, anywhere from Sarasota to Marco Island. It really does have ideal weather there during the winter months, you gotta love the endless sunshine and 75-85 degree temps!
Check out Estero. You don't pay the premium of housing in Naples but still get easy airport access and a quick shot down 75 to either Ft Myers or Naples. Marco is less expensive as well but you're more isolated. The island bridge is an amazing barrier force-field for the Marco residents who no longer leave the island.

I had to send this to one of my Ca. Buddies.
North Idaho has had one of the coldest winters on record, and the wettest.

Yea, I've tried to get my C7 out at least once per month. That way I can truly say, "Yes, the C7 Corvette is a 4 season car!"

LOL......

Nah, you had it EZ compared to what I have to deal with. Here's an example of the conditions I'm in. Brace yourself, it's not for the faint of heart :

My wife actually mentioned on this last trip that we should check out Estero or Bonita Springs, we'll have to explore those areas on our next trip down (we've booked a week in a condo on Marco Island for this December, although it's possible we might make a quick weekend trip down there in March or April if we can get a cheap flight)
