I speak in black and white:

1. You just bought the car from a dealer.

2. You hear a noise, that doesn't sound normal with the car.

Solution.....

Go directly back to the dealer and tell them to fix it!!

some people pay for this entertainment! What is a baby cam? 42 thousand for a clunker. For that kind of money, I would be at the dealer in a very bad mood. First thing your daddy should have taught you is to never ever trust a used car salesman. Appears that he failed.

Actually he was there lol I needed him to cosign me for better apt. But the gnome is solid to me under the hood it rounds so smooth and quite. It's this clunky noise coming from the back now. And yes I'm pretty sure the car is cammed.

Now your dad had to cosign for you so you could get a better apartment? It's going to be tough as a working student to be able to afford a $42k car payment and rent. But what does that have to do with the car?

And if you have gnomes living under the hood of your car, I think we just found the source of the strange noise.

I also need to figure out this noise coming from the car in the back.

As other's have stated, if it's a sound that has you and your dad worried, you need to get it to a shop/mechanic and get it diagnosed. It is difficult, if not impossible, for anyone here to diagnose a sound someone tries to describe. It could be nothing more then your exhaust rattling to something as serious as a clutch going bad.

Yeah I will but is the clutch located in the back some forum member just told me. I thought it was in the front behind the engine??

They are correct, the tranny & clutch are in the rear. But, also as other's have said, sound can travel and it is extremely hard to nail down where an under car sound is coming from while sitting inside it.

If you wanna ask general questions then by all means, post here. But if you want to engage in anything more than a fishing expedition, start posting in the z06 specific forum and tech forum for issues like this.

If you can't get it back to the dealer for an evaluation of the issue then Get that car up in the air and have someone who knows what they re doing check it out. If they find something of concern then take it back to the dealer.

After reading this thread all I can say is wow. Either some 50 year old Mustang owner trolling the CF bunch or a real 18 year old with more dollars than sense. Either way, a little sad.
